Transporation in Brussels
From Brussels (Zaventem) airport to the Thon EU Hotel
- Taxi
Brussels Airport Zaventem is 13 kilometers from the hotel. It is a 25-minute drive to/from the hotel (may take 1 hour during peak hours). As you exit the airport from the arrival halls, you will see a taxi stand directly in front of you. The yellow-blue license plates identify licensed taxis. If you want to pre-book a taxi in advance:

At Brussels Airport Zaventem, the train station is located directly beneath the departures and arrivals halls on level -1. The platform is easily accessible via elevator and escalator. The nearest train station to the hotel is Brussels-Schuman.

From Gare du Midi/Brussels South station to the Berlaymont building
The hotel is accessible from Brussels South Station via taxi or subway.
Subway lines 2 or 6 to "Arts-Loi" stop (direction “Elisabeth”) and from there a 7-minute walk onto Rue de la Loi until n°75 Thon EU Hotel.
From Thon Hotel EU to the venue EC Berlaymont
The Berlaymont building is located 500 meters away from the hotel. It is a 6-min walk.
From the venue Berlaymont to Brussels (Zaventem) airport

The Berlaymont is located 10km from the airport. It is a 20-minutes’ drive from the venue.
- Train
Brussels Schuman train station is next to the Berlaymont building. The train ride to/from Brussels Airport Zaventem takes approximately 25 minutes.

From the venue Berlaymont to Gare du Midi/Brussels South station
- Taxi
The Berlaymont is located around 5 km from the airport. It is a 15-minutes’ drive from the venue in normal traffic conditions.
- Bus and metro
The Brussels south station can be reached by public transportation by taking the metro line 1 from Schuman station towards Gare de l’Ouest then by taking the metro line 2 (towards Simonis) at the stop Arts-Loi until the stop Gare du Midi.
This route will take approximately 20 minutes.
